New Mexico Medical Waste complies with all Medical Waste Disposal Laws. New Mexico Medical Waste is licensed and permitted in New Mexico to transport, process and dispose of medical waste. Like all our clients that simply store infectious waste, we are regulated on the state level by the New Mexico Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and on the local level by individual municipalities.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) also enforces regulations regarding the transport of medical waste while the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulates the handling of medical waste in the workplace.
